Community Manager (Hong Kong)

Your role as community manager is three-­pronged. The ratio of work depends on where your time is needed most, at the discretion of the company.

Your job scope involves a mix of:

a) Writing content for theAsianparent Hong Kong.

b) Managing our social media channels.

c) Handling and increasing our database of content contributors.


Social media managing

  • Monitor all social media trends and keep up­ to ­date with changes in FB algorithms for high engagement posts.
  • Use Google Analytics, Facebook Insights and other measurement tools to provide reports on metrics.
  • Find ways to continuously improve user engagement
  • Be well­ versed in social media and online community trends, technology and strategies.
  • Manage communities handled by the company and closely monitor and coordinate with the group managers
  • Cultivate a positive social media milieu for users to interact by being responsible for reader support, answering questions and managing any online feedback posted in our social media platforms (Facebook, G+, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)
  • Build and nurture relationship with bloggers
  • Liaise with fellow community managers in order to maintain consistency in the Tickled Media branding.
  • Content/ caption creation. Coordinate with editorial and client support teams in scheduling posts in our social media platforms (Facebook, G+, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)
  • Seeding of articles in relevant Facebook Groups, theAsianparent Groups and G+ for editorial and client support
  • Help in content such as articles, newsletters, communications materials, and material for social media channels

Content production

  • Research, assign and/or write articles that resonate with our audience
  • Review and edit regional articles to fit the local market (re­pubs)
  • Meet given deadlines and report on analytics daily, weekly, monthly
  • Monitor Google Analytics to uncover trends and topics that work.
  • Work with contributors, interns and freelancers if necessary
  • Liaise with PR/ Marketing personnel for feature/giveaway opportunities
  • Attend selected media invites for events and press conferences and conduct interviews.
  • Attend meetings to review and analyse performance and set goals.


Skills and Requirements

  • 1+ year experience in copywriting/writing online content; experience in an online editorial team is an advantage
  • 1+ year experience in social media marketing, utilizing online tools such as Facebook, G+, Twitter, Instagram, WordPress, Google Analytics, , etc.
  • Highly motivated, a self-starter, keen to grow their skills
  • Exceptional time-management and organizational skills
  • High attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a global team
  • Great interpersonal skills, creativity and a good sense of humor! Excellent phone manners and presentation skills
