Responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Develop and implement strategy for fan acquisition and retention across various social platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and other local online communities (TBD), with extension to WeChat and Pinterest over time.
  • Oversee ongoing development and refinement of a content and communications calendar
  • Support development and maintain June identity and voice across key social platforms including spearheading ideation and execution of regular activity and community engagement
  • Analyze daily audience/content trends and pitch story recommendations to editors
  • Identify new tools/trends/formats in social media, content marketing and video, incorporate the relevant ones
  • Keep abreast of changes to content surfacing algorithms/policies that affect content performance and reach
  • Develop a broad understanding of reporting metrics and define program KPIs to help improve and strengthen community management activity and social content development; analyze and report-in on social media engagement insights 
  • Develop relationships with key contacts at social/emerging platforms to gain involvement in new initiatives
  • Work with working team, and service provider and influencer/KOL ecosystem to manage effective ongoing social presence and integrated multi-channel communication strategies and execution of comprehensive social media marketing plans and programs
  • Support development of marketing campaigns, taking ownership of social component
  • Develop global, social governance guidelines working with various stakeholders 
  • Develop and execute paid campaigns as appropriate, encompassing ideation, launch, monitoring, analysis, optimization and media buying with support from regional agency

Requirements

Experience and Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or Psychology, Sociology or similar field
  • 3+ years’ experience in social media at relevant digital, creative or design agencies, with a proven record of growing audiences across different social platforms
  • An analytical mind with deep insight into target market(s) using a variety of research and / or analytics techniques – can interpret social web analytics and make recommendations 
  • Expert on the social media landscape in Asia and what makes content clickable, shareable and buzzworthy
  • Network of social media employees/partners, as well as influencers (KOLs) in the digital lifestyle space
  • Strong interpersonal skills – will need to work regularly across teams 
  • Excellent written (flawless spelling, grammar, usage) and verbal communication skills in English; high proficiency in Chinese a bonus
  • Hands-on experience with social analytics tools (ChartBeat, Parse.ly, CrowdTangle, Sprinklr, Offerpop)
